Gabriela Burian, senior director of sustainable food systems at Bayer, says that hunger is an issue that the company is trying to combat.
“Our goal is to make sure we empower especially farmers that are very small across the world and farmers that don’t have access to technology or to information,” Burian says.
Bayer has two 2030 commitments. The first is to empower 100 million small farmers across the world by providing access and resources that will help them both sequester carbon and feed the growing population. And the second is to become carbon neutral in its own operations.
